Nu auzisem de sculptorul Vasile Blendea până să ajung la Târgovişte. M-a atras prima dată casa în care găzduit muzeul, o casă foarte veche, datând din secolul 18 şi restaurată recent.
Odată intrat în muzeu, am fost cucerit pe loc. Îmi place foarte mult sculptura lui, una clasică, ce transmită multă forţă şi emoţie. Sculptorul a creat multe grupuri statuare având ca temă monumente ale eroilor. Pot fi văzute scene în care soldatul îşi ia rămas bun de la familie, pleacând la război, sau soldatul căzut în braţele Patriei sau Victoriei. Muzeul conţine multe statui de dimensiuni variabile, unele fiind de fapt mici statuete, ca nişte bibelouri, dar cuprinzând mult detaliu.
Chiar la intrare te întâmpină un uriaş cap al voievodului Matei Basarab. Mai sunt bustul lui Tudor Vladimirescu, Nicolae Iorga, sau statuia ecvestră a Regelui Ferdinand. Este vorba de machete ale unor statui realizate sau nu. Operele sunt răspândite în toată ţara.
Vasile Blendea a fost de asemenea pictor şi gravor. Creaţiile sale sunt impresioniste, delicate. A pictat foarte mult oraşul său de adopţie, Târgovişte.
Nu ocoliţi acest muzeu, veţi descopri un sculptor genial prea puţin cunoscut.
"Vasile Blendea" Memorial House and Workshop
I haven't heard about sculptor Vasile Blendea before coming to Târgovişte. The first thing that drew my attention is the house it is hosted in, an old 18th century house, recently restored.
I became an instant fan of its works once inside. I like clasic sculpture, one that transmits strength and emotion, like his. He has sculpted many commemorative monuments for the soldiers fallen in the wars of the 20th century. One depicts the soldier kissing his family goodbye, another one shows him falling in the arms of the Motherland, or maybe Victory. Statues are of different shapes and sizes, some are small statuettes but even those have incredible detail.
At the entry there is a large head of Voivode Matei Basarab. You can also admire the bust of Tudor Vladimirescu, a 19th century freedom fighter (pictured), Nicolae Iorga or the equestrian statue of King Ferdinand. These are plaster models, the artworks that were actually cast in bronze are scattered throughout the country.
Vasile Blendea also painted and engraved. His works are small in size, delicate and with an impressionist feel. He painted many landscapes of his adoptive town, Târgovişte.
If you visit this museum, then you shall discovers a lesser known but very gifted Romanian sculptor.
