Ca orice oraș care se respectă, Soroca are muzeul ei, Muzeul de Istorie și Etnografie, care încearcă să reunească exponate reprezentative din regiune. Este micuț, într-o căsuță pe colț din centrul orașului.
Like any self-respecting town, Soroca has its own museum, the History and Ethnography Museum. It attempts to gather representative exhibits from the region. It's small, in a corner house, in the center of town.

Zona Sorocii e foarte bogată etnografic, are multă identitate. Are propriile modele populare, modele de case tradiționale și garduri din piatră, monumente din piatră de Cosăuți...
The Soroca region has a rich identity. It has its own traditional designs and patterns, unique peasant houses with fences made of stone; lots of public monuments carved from the Cosăuți quarry rock.
Interiorul muzeului cu obiecte de gospodărie (troacă, teasc, covoare și preșuri). Pururi, când văd astfel de expoziții, îmi aduc aminte de copilărie, cum și bunica frământa pita într-o astfel de troacă, cum și bunicul folosea un teasc ca acela... Toate aceste obiecte îmi sunt extrem de familiare și mi-a fost întotdeauna ciudat să le văd în muzee. Acum știu că copiii de azi nu le mai văd în mâinile bunicilor lor și iată, pentru ei sunt doar niște exponate de muzeu, rupte de realitate...
The museum interior, with household items (trough, winepress, carpets and rugs). All the time, when I see such exhibits, I remember my childhood. I remember how my grandmother used to knead bread in a trough just like that one, how my grandfather has a winepress... All these objects are very familiar to me and it was always strange to see them in museums. Now I know that today's children don't see them in their grandparents' hands anymore; for them, they are just museum exhibits, with no link to real life.

În muzeu mai era o expoziție temporară cu acuarele. Mi-au plăcut mai ales cele cu natură, sau cu peisaje din sate.
There was also a temporary painting exhibition in the museum and I mostly liked nature landscapes and country houses.
